We Support Global Missions
Our congregation supports ELCA's global missions by raising funds to support missionaries overseas.
Our congregation has taken part in other ELCA Global Mission projects such as ELCA's Good Gifts Program. In 2012, TOL supported the "Barnyard Mission", in which we raised funds to purchase an entire farm for a poor community in Africa.
Prayer is an essential part of Christian life. Our prayer chain prays regularly for the needs of our congregation and our world. Our Prayer Partner Team gathers after Sunday Worship to host prayer time with those interested.
Skits and Puppet presentations frequent our worshp services to share the Message of Christ in fun and unique ways! Drama Ministry teams up with the Sunday School program at Christmas for our annual Christmas Program.
Our congregation is blessed to have a team of Eucharistic Ministers who visit our home-bound friends and members.
Hearts and Hands
Hearts and Hands: Faith in Action is a free and best efforts program. Services are provided by volunteers who give of their time as they have it available.
Hearts and Hands Volunteers can provide:
"Door through Door" transportation for medical appointments and local errands.
Phone Pals, companion visits and wellness checks.
In home supports: letter writing, bill paying, hair care and much more.
Yard work and snow removal assistance.
Respite services to lighten the load of a caregiver.
Minor handyman services.
By linking those in need with a dedicated volunteer, Hearts and Hands hopes to enable the elderly and those with long term health concerns to remain safely in their homes. We’re grateful for our volunteers and the vital work they perform in our community.
